projectionist

Here's a piece I did for an old Local Origination show I used to do. It's all shot on Hi8 video (in 1996), and I had no way to color correct, so it's pretty rough. I loved going into the projection booth though, it was very cool. Pete, the projectionist, was very cool to agree to do it.

I been working in a movie theater for about 3 years already, I some times help the projectionist move prints some times. I find going up into projection booth fun, to help movie prints. I want to learn projection position.

being a projectionist does sound like fun, but seeing how big the film looks on that platter looks a little intimidating to me.

For a fact being a Projectionist is fun. I been working up in Projection since beginning of June, since then I had 1 power outage, couple of brain wraps like 2, and 1 damaged film. basically been the worse thing that happened to me up in Projection. So one way to get better is by practice.
