Emergency Services transported a woman out by stretcher and snowmachine just three days earlier on a trail so rough, the thought of returning to it so soon was not pleasant. The trail broke a musher's sled, hurt his knee and rolled a rescuer's snow machine in the dark. But five dogs were unsheltered. It was 30 below zero that week and some of the puppies were thought to be just hanging onto life.

  • You guys are amazing. Super. Well done :)

  • As former Alaskans, my family and I are so very proud of all who rescued the dogs and their puppies. It didn't use to be what happand, and the organizations are finally working together to rescue these precious animals. Again, thank you so much.

  • awesome story! Well done and thankfully all the pups and others are doing well! I would love to learn more about this service and gladly volunteer my time to help in any way.

  • Nice job guys. I have a makenzie river husky/malamute that was rescued as one of four pups from up in that area. He's my best buddy now. The dogs you saved will be someone's best buddy soon.

  • Kudos on a job well done. A true gift to have fellow Alaskans that will go to such lenghts. Thank You!
