Lying on the eastern part of the Indochinese peninsula, Vietnam is a strip of land shaped like the letter S. China borders it to the north, Laos and Cambodia to the west, the East Sea to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the east and south.

If you are on this page then you are interested in Viet Nam. I live in Viet Nam permanently and I love this country. Beautiful, frustrating, ancient, complex .... I am the author of "My Viet Nam Stories" (not war stories!) I hope this book will help reveal the Viet Nam I live in. Ten short stories - Teen Warrior/Teen Emperor, pirates, blood wine, the clever woman of Long Tan, luck and much more. lulu.com/spotlight/paulsworld enjoy the read. Paul Rowe

this is so stupid bc i live in hanoi and this is probably what you should expect in hanoi:

    1. traffic that gives you a heart attack every ten minutes or so

    2. pollution. If you walk by the Tô Lịch river you might want to puke.

3.ok the people don't live in old wooden buildings playing chess while a pretty girl brings them fruit and drinks the housing (especially the yellow appartment thingies) are really uncomfortable (except the residents are used to it)

i don't wanna insult my country but srs

VN is my birthplace, I love my country to death, but this promo does not capture the essence of VN. come and see for yourself what VN is really like.

    love from San Jose.

Hi, have you heard of "Reveal Travel Deal" (just search on Google for it ...)? I have stumbled upon quite a few extremely cheap hotels and even flight tickets. This can let you save cash on your next journey as well.

It has been a week since my 2 1/2 week vacation touring the country. I miss it so much and want to move there once I am able to. I visited Da Nang, Hoi An, HCM, Hue, and Da Lat. Out of all the places we went to I would prefer Da Nang, beach city with a mix of small town and big city feel.

Frustrating? Nothing more than living in a different country, with a different language and culture. These take years to learn, and then even longer to adapt to. But if I wanted to live in a less interesting place, I would have stayed home in Australia.
