The Hum Of The Earth (Short) - Year 12 Media

THE HUM OF THE EARTH tells the story of Ben lost in the dysfunctional life of a contemporary teenager in a society compromised by sex, drugs, drinking and the continuously deteriorating social values.

An artistically constructed short film created by a talented Year 12 Media Student, who has previously been recognised in the Top 12 Australia Wide entries 2009 Junior Tropfest Short Film Festival in Sydney, Geelong's Shoot Out 24 Hour Filmmaking Competition, the 2010 National Youth Week Shoot It Filmmaking Competition and has recieved the People's Choice Award in the 2009 National Youth Week Shoot It Filmmaking Competition. Kai has also written plays and theatrical pieces which have been performed at The Courthouse Youth Arts Centre, and GPAC's Blakiston Theatre later this year as a part of The Best Of Short Circuit 2010.

really nicely structured, reminds me of a Gondry short film. I just wish Ben was more interesting to watch, because his character is very flat and un-idiosyncratic, not that all protagonists should be, but it always makes for a more interesting film.
