Looks like you are using Pastry flour instead of normal flour. I have pastry flour and will try it, i shall make vegan ones. I grew up with these in NZ. I love them!

Never heard of pasties with precooked veggies before. I would give it a try except mine turn out great with raw veggies. 350 for an hour and it saves a step. You might want to view "Mom pasties" on youtube and give her recipe a try. BTW, do you roll out your own dough or is that store bought?
