Nigel Farage flags Barroso over Lisbon treaty

The "President-designate of the Commission", Jose Manuel Barroso, seeks the support of MEPs just one day before the vote in the European Parliament.

The heat was on Barroso as nearly all group presidents condemned him for Left-Right issues, but he got what he deserved from Nigel Farage, who blasted him for ignoring the will of the people after the French, Dutch and Irish rejection of the EU Constitution, now disguised as the Lisbon Treaty.

Having rejected the Lisbon treaty in June 2008, Ireland is being asked to vote again on October 2, 2009.

Such a shame that Farage is wasting his time for such a lost cause... If he really wants to change the EU and Britain, he ought to get out of that undemocratic system (because they will not destroy themselves) and run for prime minister in Britain. Thanks for the videos, but it's frightening what's happening in Europe. It is unsurprising for apparatchiks to support continual expansion of their power and wealth at the expense of freedom, but I sure hope that the minority opinions of Farage aren't also minority opinions across the handful of important European countries.
