I got the new macbook 2008, I dont like the 2009 because it has no firewire, and you cant take the ram/battery out

You have to remeber the newer Mac runs on DDR3 You could have 2Gb of ram running well and way faster then 4Gbs of DDR2 or DDR for that matter

The more RAM you have the slower the boot because it checks all the RAM first.
