Helmet is an American rock band formed in New York City by Page Hamilton (vocals/guitar) with Henry Bogdan (bass), Peter Mengede (guitar) and John Stanier (drums) in 1989. In the 19 years since its inception, Helmet has had numerous lineup changes, and Hamilton has been the only constant member.
Helmet has released six studio albums and two compilations. The band found mainstream success with their 1992 major label debut Meantime, which debuted at number 68 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hits "Unsung" and "In the Meantime".

love these lads, back in the day, bands like this gave ya an outlet for ballsey rock that wasn't all about goblins and satan and all that shite the metallers were bollixing on about.... the drummer is an all time great....

Maybe I'm a little partial because I was a teen in the 90's, but I can't imagine there was a better decade for music especially '90-'97 or so.
