omg u did it ! : i saw the video and in a second did i had a feeling. I turned around to my piano and i closed my eyes and played an extremely nice song! ..thank you so much !

That's almost pure theory and experimenting. You should write the melody out. And try different chords with it that would wrok. When you get some practice with this. You get a better feel for progressions. And then it won't be a pain in the ass anymore. Although, being creative with chords and harmony can be pretty hard. That's why experimenting a lot is a good thing. Don't stick with the same stuff over and over that just sounds good. Try some weird stuff.

Dtremco - I disagree, non of what this video has theory in it. It is simply me playing anything that I thought up as the camera records and me trying to explain what I'm doing. I also think writing the melody out and experimenting with chords is good if u have very little memory, if u can't remember a melody or chord structure/pattern u need to keep trying till u can. I absolutely agree with trying weird stuff and going away from ur comfort zone.
