Dr. Jerry Schnoor discusses the realities of climate change on February 15, 2008 at a symposium on climate change and human rights at the University of Iowa.

Schnoor is a professor of civil & environmental engineering at the University of Iowa. He also chairs the Iowa Climate Change Advisory Council and co-directs the Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research (CGRER) in Iowa City.

In this clip, Schnoor addresses the science of climate change, phasing out of the fossil fuel era, and how to prosper in the era of sustainability.

So what caused the levels to rise before? Don't you think it's odd that even though we've had 40-50 years of environmental cleanup, the CO2 levels kept rising? And what of the unintended consequenses from 30 years of removing the sulfur (which supposedly cools the planet) and they now want to put back?
