This Turkish folktale tells of young Hasan, who sets out to buy a penny's worth of salt at the bazaar. Like many boys, however, he tends to get sidetracked. On his way, he repeats the word for salt, "hic," aloud to himself, so he won't forget. However, the word has another meaning in his country, which launches Hasan on a series of hilarious misadventures. A Stephen Bosustow Production, adapted from the book published by Follett Publishing Company. 9 minutes, color.
