The internet under 'Robert Knight' carries a good story about how he and the two songwriters of Evelasting Love collaborated on this song in Nashville in the late summer of '67. They actually had another completed song they were going to release as the 'A' side with E.L. as the 'B' side. That song strangely was never released?

@davepinch1 Actually, The Love Affair, which did their own version of "Everlasting Love", did "Rainbow Valley", not Knight.

@azumanga111 robert knight did indeed record my rainbow valley in 1968. i used to have it. it got a 45 rpm release in the uk back in 74
