  • How fast are trikes compared to an upright bike?

  • @KrunchyJD Generally I am as fast or faster than on my mountain bike with street tires. I can keep up with a road bike for a while, but they will generally outrun a trike if they are a rider equivalent to me. Trikes have a aerodynamic advantage to a degree... but most are also heavier than a bike, and have an extra wheel (friction) on the ground. On the other hand they are more comfortable for distance, and more stable, and fast downhill and flats. ;-)

  • One of my favorite inspired trike video. I like quick pause comment "Hey! Another Recumbent". I (2 cents) thought it would be nice if you add photo slideshow after "Picture time" and delete part of wait incoming cyclists.

  • There are plenty of things I do differently now. I shot a LOT of video and edited out very little. I have learned that more is not always better. This is before I figured out how to insert stills between video clips. The helmet mount for the camera is fun, but the swaying body pedaling motion is irritating to watch. Now I tend to shoot shorter clips and handhold the camera, rather than long clips with the helmet mount.

  • That's me on my lowracer at 4:15

  • HA! That is cool that you spotted yourself riding past! I keep wondering how many riders that go past me in my videos will spot themselves. Stop by our riding group's site (as shown in this video's description... (click the more info link then see the link to our group site -- since i can't post links in these comments) and see if you want to come ride with us. or just say hi.

  • Thanks. If you enjoyed that, be sure to check our some of my other videos. (including part 2 and 3 of that ride) BTW... I checked out your MARS ride. So different from the west coast over here in California. The waterfront and central park trails look like a fun place to ride!

  • Great ride!
