  • could you help me there is no play button under the video-log and capture

  • If you cannot see any video camera control buttons then the camera has not been recognised. It must be connected via firewire cable and the software must be told what type of camera it is. Best way to do this is to go to menu at top and go to Final Cut Pro / Easy Setup from here find your camera or if you are not sure choose Firewire Basic and then reload log and capture window.

  • If you still see No Communication then try other settings and check your camera is in playback mode and connected. I sometimes find changing the firewire cable can sort this problem
