Great video. I'm travelling across Canada soon as well. I hope my experience feels like this video does. I might need to put this song on my mp3 player.
Thanks for the Info. I might get that ticket if I ever go on vacations. And if time and money allows it, I will make a side trip to Churchill too! (Yeah, I may look silly, but to go everywhere VIA Rail can go has been my dream! So far, I've been from Shawinigan to La Tuque, Weymont and Casey (Northen Quebec train) and from Charny to Moncton (The ''Ocean'')
if you want a return for Vancouver-Toronto and are planning to return within a month, it's way better to get a Canrail pass from VIA they're $518 - $923 depending on student/adult or peak season/off-peak and are good for 12 days on the train within a month
Oh, and to answer your three months old question. From Quebec to Vancouver, if you get your ticket at least 5 days in advance, you can get a discount, and should cost you below 1200$ (That includes the reurn too) so it's cheaper for Toronto-Vancouver
ya like 2 weeks after i wrote that i took the train out to montreal from toronto and we had the old cars like thos ones and i was surprised at how comfy the old seats where :P

You slept your way through Saskatchewan???
I suppose that's the ideal way to do it.
