The only change that Tenchu "needed" was a graphics overhaul. Taking the grappling hook out of the game was a huge mistake. With it in the previous Tenchu games I felt as if there were many different ways of getting your mission completed - similar to the original Thief games. This created a faux "open world" feeling, and added strategy and difficulty. Both franchises have since wandered from these key elements and made their games linear to the point of ruin.

its more like a copycat of Thief! I like to explore using roofs and kill from above and all that stuff i don't like to mess with candle lights thats what the game Thief does maybe Ayame will soon take loots too or do a pick pocket instead of Ninjutsu Bind
I also like to restart the stage when i made a mistake soon i will master the timing and then earn the Grandmaster or the Assassin title

I'm not sure I like how Ayame got re-styled. But being a fan of the series, I'll no doubt eventually play this. not for the skirt reason, people are upset about that?? That's a traditional tunic that was traditionally worn during the warmer parts of the year. You can see the male NPCs wearing these as well, or in period films set in the shogun period.

Excellent review. Thanks for the useful info: I'm really glad I've purchased this game. It has its flaws, we all know, but it's a good choice for hardcore Wii owners (yes, they do exist!)
