An autumn afternoon the rain is drizzling down.
Put on his crombie coat, slicked back his hair.
Shuffled in stupor all the way to the house.
A finished funeral march and he stood at the door.
He took her by the hand, looked into her eyes and said
I love you
I love you.
Like sun-light, like life itself, like misery, you could take them away
And his head went down no answer back and he ran forever till his heart attacked
And he couldn't see beyond her smile he could see no more point in life.
It's a spring day he just sits there
Watching the fresh breeze blowing in her hair
Her whispered words always make him bleed
She holds him dead this grey day
She was a rose she was a beautiful flower
and he loved her
Like sun light, like life itself, like misery, you can take them away
And his head went down no answer back and he ran forever till his heart attacked
And he couldn't think beyond her smile he could see no more point in living
without this, no beauty sign I know, heaven bliss
'Cos he knew not of a God
but of a pair of brown eyes of a girl
he loved, he loved, he loved, he loved
he loved, he loved, he loved, he loved.
It's an autumn afternoon the rain is drizzling down.
A young man lies cold dead on the ground
She was a rose she was a beautiful flower
and he loved her
yeah he loved her.
