The location of the Food Forest known to the local population as Paradise Valley is about 12km inland from Tamraght on the coast of Morocco below the Grissafane Mountain Range. See Flashtoonz, com for map details.

No. Using a water source for a monoculture system in a desert will result in eventual soil death and that would be the end of it. The mixture of canopy layers, and different fruits keeps the soil fertile for a long time.

Even though, many would be mad today if you brought crops from another area to plant them in a new region like this, and there is no evidence that these plants all originated at this location, so it might be hard to get some to go for it, though it seems to have been very sucessful. I wonder howmany generations have lived off of these peoples work?

It looked man made, to me, due to the lay out, graduation, location, etc.. from the pics, before he said it was, I felt it had to be left by a former civilization. It is a neat way to farm, which we can use the world over, but it is not that special, people all over move plants that they want to grow to another place and use them together, this has just lasted due to care, location, diversity etc.. but it is a GREAT idea !!!!

    What do you mean?

Just because someone doesn't have a food forest doesn't mean they can't promote it.

Your supermarket won't always be able to feed you.

Well food forests can be man made. They are designed after nature.

This potentially was a forest created thousands of years ago by a civilization that was aware of permaculture design principals.
