Liberal Democrat coalition business secretary Vince Cable thinks that the biggest threat to the economy is "A few right-wing nutters in US Congress", who are not prepared to do a deal with president Obama over the out of control US budget deficit.

What about the left wing nutters like President Obama that helped rack up the record breaking $14Trillion deficit in the first place? Or are nutters only "on the right" of the political spectrum?

Vince Cable wants quantitative easing, taking from savers to prop up borrowers, and also devalues the UK Pound increasing ALL costs like fuel and food, squashing disposable income. He's a left-wing nut, along with Labour party and the Bank of England governor who pursued this mad policy in the first place, pretending it would help the UK economy - it only made things worse.

Stop pushing your Keynesian economics theories, they have been tested to destruction - they DON'T work, they never have, never will.

Recorded from BBC Andrew Mar Show, 24 July 2011.

  • I can see "currencies" like Bitcoin as the future, decentralised which means the governments hate it, and can't track them. Even simple bartering is making a comeback, and the crooked tax man can't do anything about that either.

The age of governments and banks fiddling currencies will come to an end, and not by the NWO agenda of a crooked one world currency either.

  • Oh my goodness. I love my English brothers over the pond. You people are so right. We got many nutters in Republican Congress and they need to be tar and feathered and kicked out of the town to die in the woods.

  • @soundslave In moderation not wrong, when it's about sustaining roads and railways instead of envy and greed of successful people it's not wrong.

  • @MrGilles1990 oh, you're one of those people who thinks taxes are wrong. Sorry, I thought I was talking to a sane person.

  • @soundslave "might forget"?

People will try to avoid the government stealing their money not because they forget to give up their money, it's because their are ways were you can keep some of your money if you play the right cards.

You might be muddled up with tax evasion which is 100% illegal.

  • @MrGilles1990 ITs the scale though, average people might forget £50 or £100. Big businesses and the wealthy are getting away with millions of pounds. It's idiotic to say their kind of avoidance is equal an average persons.

  • @soundslave Tax avoidance is 100% legal, and so it should be, tax everyone tax avoids to a certain degree.

  • @MrGilles1990 It's more to do with tax avoidance. The wealthy can afford accountants and lawyers to exploit loopholes and avoid paying taes altogether. Businesses and corporations do it too. There's no need to raise taxes, just make it harder to dodge them.

  • @soundslave didn't call you a commie, just think your very naive and ignorant.

Having studied history I have seen the problems that taxing the productive side of the economy causes.

  • @MrGilles1990 ah, call me a commie. Nice. That's not skirting around the issue at all...

  • @soundslave " I don't care about economics"

This probably proves why Socialism is so dangerous, the Soviet union did not care much about economics and it ended up in its destruction.

So you rather the gap did not exist and everyone was poor so long as their were no rich people. Politics of envy.
