  • Why did you guys give up so early??? COME ON!!!! I hope I never have a wreck in San Diego..

  • @cassias456 no I totally agree. The body is not dead. Medically speaking, when in cardiac arrest, the person is "dead", and cannot be hurt by compressions. While they may be dead, they may still be very much alive at a cellular level. I think they gave up on him way too early... You can tell by the fact that they are not consistent with their attempts to resuscitate him... Pretty sad if you as me.

  • @andrewsapirate the body of the victim is not dead until the brain and the vital organs are too damage by necrosis... I would have said that you cannot hurt an unconscious patient rather than refer i'm as a dead patient. But your right, one handed CPR... that's a f...ing joke!

  • @mantywi yes if you do cpr correctly you they will end up having some broken ribs but thats better than being dead

  • @mantywi I'm a paramedic so I'll offer you some insight:) firstly, those compressions were pathetic. One handed? what a joke. Secondly, when in cardiac arrest, the body is already dead. You can't hurt a dead person.... You are trying to bring them back to a viable rhythm in most cases and having a few broken ribs due to effective CPR is better than not surviving!!

  • I don't know nothing about CPR but damn,do they have to do it that hard almost caved in the dudes chest..

  • Amazing video. It proves two things. 1.) It shows the fire service doing what they do best. 2.) It's a reminder, pay attention to your surroundings when your driving.

  • Traumatic Arrest has an approximate 1% chance of survival. As a paramedic you need to make the decision to work someone in cardiac arrest following blunt force trauma. It can be very hard.

  • @ellasangel their heart is in the chest not the belly his size in the gut doesnt mean anything so dont worry and go back to eating your carboard

  • When doing CPR training there are these dummies that click when you push far enough, and boy, take my advice, you have to push far! Doing it for one minute was enough to make my 11 year old self break a sweat.
