She still has that voice! I think 'reinventing' herself was a very good move. If she had been stuck with the dancing style of the '80s and the '90s, then she would have been type-casted as a 'dancer' and would run into a dead end. (Not to mention that the stereotypical 'sexy dancing musician' has a relatively short shelf-life since the performer is not going to get any younger.)
