@kuojiao This is when he was sacked from Deep Purple and replaced by JLTurner. in 1991. The 2 albums he did were Naked Thunder and Toolbox.

This is long before MSG. The first solo albums Ian Gillan made after he left Deep Purple included Ted McKenna and Chris Glen. This is probably taken in 1977 or so.
