The Burlington McD's stinks. They are really slow. Then I was waiting in one of the drive thru lanes and they skipped over me and took a guy in the other lane that showed up literally a few minutes after me. Always a problem there.

You kind of proved his point with the word "surely." This single word makes you appear as if you're trying to sound really smart by using it. It's truly unfortunate that it doesn't fit your context of sarcasm. A better word, with emphasis, would be much more appropriate. Here are some examples:
