Video shows the intellect of the turkey vulture. This vulture was trying to eat lunch, which was either a skunk or a cat. After the vulture was interrupted several times, it solved its problems by dragging the animal off the road. Shows an episode in the life of a vulture and its intelligence.

After I drove up to it, it crossed the road to let me by. After I stopped, it returned. Then as I continued to approach, it flew away. It was instantly attacked by blackbirds, which chased it for a while.

Then it returned. By this time, it had had enough and it began to drag the animal off the road.

Soon a large dog approached and the buzzard decided to drag the animal still further off the road.

I walked up to it and got to within about 20 feet of this determined buzzard. It then decided to drag the animal even further off the road.

A little while later, I came accross an Osprey taking food to its young. Unfortunately, I didn't film its landing on the nest, but did film the nestlings moving around and eating.

**The turkey vulture, Cathartes aura, is often called the buzzard or turkey buzzard. It is impressively large with a wingspan up to 72 inches and an average weight of over 3 lbs. Its plumage is black to brown and it has a featherless, red or purplish head and neck, with a hooked, ivory-colored beak. It is called the turkey vulture because it resembles a turkey. It is extremely good at soaring, uses thermals, and can soar for hours with little effort.

It has a powerful sense of smell and good eyes. It roosts communally. The female is larger than the male. It is extremely widespread and can be found throughout the Americas. The young are fuzzy and white. It is a scavenger, which feeds on carrion. If not for vultures, the world might have many more carcasses lying around. It seems to be very bright, intelligent, and curious bird. It can soar for hours and do advanced acrobatics.
