I loved President Ford and his wife. God love her and the whole family. The service at The National Cathedral was excellent.

@barbnearl and you were. yes, reagan was a good president. But so was Ford. each president had their own unique contributions to america. he is a man of honor, dignity, character, and integrity, do not ever disrespect this man.

@Kildruf79 maybe because he was not in the same caliber as Reagan who has gone down as the Best President in recent memory while Ford is often remembered as the clumsy boffoon who had to step in. No Offense to Ford but he was just not cut out to be President.

Greetings
The ceremony for President Ford was driven by family request. Although the full pomp was included in plans for the president, the family opted to go with less formal ceremonies, although they were quite grandeur. (they still had arrival and departures ceremonies, Lying in State and a service at the National Cathedral)

Thanks for your service! Seeing the USMC body bearers up close always impresses and scares the heck out of me :)
