In this video, Betty demonstrates how to make her All-Time Favorite Pumpkin Pie. With canned pumpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and salt, it's just the best! This is the version of pumpkin pie that I always make for Thanksgiving dinner!

Ingredients:

15 oz. can cooked pumpkin
14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Whisk pumkpkin, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, spices, and salt in medium bowl until smooth. (I used an electric mixer.) Pour into crust. Bake 15 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted 1 inch from crust comes out clean. Cool. Garnish as desired. Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator. This recipe is from Eagle Brand; Thanks to Eagle Brand for this great recipe! I hope all of you will enjoy it as much as I do!

  • Betty-Thanks,good video. i'll use your instructions. the top layer of my pie gets dry so i'll cover it and see if that helps.

the one i did yesterday looked a tiny bit curdled .any idea about what i did wrong? it tasted good and i mixed it well so it's oven temperature maybe?

  • @3344utube Yes, it was probably oven temperature, if the flavor was right and it was well-mixed.

  • Hey Betty . I was just wondering if i wanted to use pumpkin pie spice , how much would i use ? And i wouldn't need to include the cinnamon right ? Answer back soon ~ Thanks (;

  • @iheartfrappuccinos Just use equal amounts of nutmeg and ginger (to add up to the original spices) and it will taste great!

  • hello betty, ill be making this for my husband. he's requesting this kind of pie. here in our country, we don't have pumpkin in can, so, what do you suggest, can i steam the slice pumpkin and puree it with a food processor? no need to add water or salt or anything else? thanks.

  • @MommyNiMatty Exactly! Just cook the pumpkin until it is nice and soft. Peel and drain and chunk it up. Blend until you get pureed pumpkin. You may add a little salt, but that's not necessary.

  • @bettyskitchen thank yo very much :) im asking questions so that i wont make mistake in baking these dishes thus it will taste good with your recipe. thanks again. :)

  • Hi Betty.

Just wanted to say thank you for posting this video. My wife baked your pumpkin pie a few days ago and it was VERY tasty.

    Keep up the great work.

  • @TianTianYouNi You will be fine if you leave them in place throughout the whole baking process. If the pie or the crust is not brown enough when you take the foil off, just leave it in the oven for an extra 5 minutes.
