"At times you tuffness go you by, But deep within dolphins made you cry. That which you have kept & stored, Can now be given to Your Lord. For in death you are not defeated, At the Right Hand of God, Eartha....go & be seated". This is an excerpt from my poem "Tribute to Ol' Sweetness" that was published in 2000. I felt the strong influence to pass this along to Eartha & any1 that I come across whom I know is befitting of this eloquence. We will miss You, Eartha, but never will we forget You!!

I meet her in Miami when I was 10 years old. She was performing tim buk tu. I went back stage and greeted her with total admiration she gave the same back to me. Then When I lived and worked in carnaby street London England I had the honer to meet her again.
She was still amazing and I keep her in my heart forever. So great to see other people have done the same.

I remember greeting her at The Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, in 1986, upon her arrival from LAX... We walked her dog on the parvis of Notre Dame du Monde Cathedral (a week before the visit of Jean Paul II)... She was wearing about a ton of make up. We talked about her new hit single for the Fight Againt Aids campaing... I remember a great sense of humour (as caustic as mine). RIP Mrs Kitt.

i find it weird how she made the song "Santa Baby" famous and she passed away on christmas. Ironic but very sad. RIP
