Hey SanDiegoSouth, I think that the cartoon you are talking about was called Tigersharks. It was like Thundercats and Silverhawks put together. I think that's the one you mean. Hope that helps. This is one of he best cartoon intros ever!

I loved this cartoon but I always wondered why they needed to cover their face if their fleshy parts could withstand space and combat damage ?
Reminds me of a challange of the superfriends episode where wonder woman, aqua man and green lantern without his ring were trapped in a laser cage and sent into orbit and their having this big old conversation about how to excape ....hello not breathing much there perhaps ?
lol ! 80 cartoons.
oh and don't even get me started on the thundercats!
