He was my first baseball hero in the 60s and one of a very few that actully deserve the title of hero. The world is not quit as bright a place with him gone!!

I grew up in payette. I remember Harm as the nice guy who use to stop my parents and say hi to them. My mom wheni I asked who he was said to me he made it big by hitting a ball with a stick. I remember this nice guy who always talked to my mom and dad and use to try to talk to us girls. As a kid he was just that guy named Harm who use to talk to my parents. I had no clue who he really was.

Thanks for all the thrills, and for doing it in such a classy way, Harmon. There's not a person on earth who could not learn from your humility, grace and generosity. Here's hoping your contribution to humanity, not just baseball, will be long appreciated.
