ok. look, if ur gonna do it, do it rite. the stance sucks. knees should be bent and he should look like hes slightly in pain. next, hands should be opened father with fingers spread out. after that, all you need is to add proper voicing. the buildup to the wave was fine, but when releasing, put more empasis. here's an idea, to get the right voice for the release of power, try dropping a brick on your foot. that should put the raw emotion in that is needed.

have you tried adobe after effects? It really allows you to expand on things like this. Also, I would recommend adding more color to it and little more noise inside of it and around the edges. This really brings the blast to life.

i think the line is too straight. try making it small, then expand outwards.
