This was a very revolutionary film for its day, dealing with a topis (ESP, reincarnation, noetics) that had not yet really been explored.  I remember being engrossed as a kid, especially with the soulmate connection between Gillian and Sanders. It was such a tragic story. Sure, the special effects are cheesy by today's standards (I'd love to see this remade), but the ending when Gillian gets her revenge is epic! Great song choice!

Saw this movie in the theater twice when it came out. I fell in love with Andrew Stevens at the time...but this movie also scared the shit outta me. I remember it as being kinda cheesy now...but it DID frighten me back then. Great job my Love.

@MADWORLD1427 True, all great elements. I don't know why Cassavettes didn't do more films in this vein, more Hollywood films. He got his only Oscar nod as actor for "The Dirty Dozen",was great in "Rosemary's Baby," and appeared in films for Mazursky and Elaine May, but I wish he'd have not been so choosy. He was always looking for financing for his own independents. I it was always great to see him in anything!
