@1995billy Maceo Parker? supposedly he was Roi's favorite

Le Roi may have been a great sax player, but I wouldn't have asked for anybody other then Jeff to fill his role.
-
hell fucking yeah. I agree with you 200%

This is why I love the live recordings..cause you can't hear the audience which obviously has something going on thats more important than this awesome music!

I've never had such a long orgasm...

the flecktones man :)

these 2 are amaezing...wow!!!!!!!!!!!
-
i like how jeff has his back towards the audience, not out of disrespect towards the crowd, but he's like carter wants to dual? fuck it let's jam.. it makes the performance so much more intimate

This is the best Beauford/Coffin solo I've ever seen...I wish they'd release this Fenway concert as a DVD.
R.I.P LeRoi
That being said, damn Jeff can play. I know his style is different but he impresses the hell out of me. Put on a great show

you obviously don't really know anything about the man, do you? if anything, Coffin is more accepted as a versatile jazz saxophonist on the level of Michael Brecker (I really hope you know who that is). LeRoi was an exceptional saxophonist with his own style that fit the music of DMB very well. That is why his sound matched well with the songs. Coffin plays a much different style that is technically "more jazzy" than the style played by LeRoi and fits differently into DMB music. Deal with it.
