I think he would make a great DC... wish someone would hire him as one...
I still think it is because of him, that Vernon turned himself around in the league and became an elite TE...always thought he was that good, just needed someone to kick him in the butt...kinda like a father figure..

He became too much of an angry coach afterwards and it ultimately led to nothing, Harbaugh is the better coach. This year proved it.

Are you ppl dumb? Attacking players? Are you people women? Coaches like him are what make winners! He's blunt and tells you how it IS! A player takes a dumb penalty your gonna say "don't worry that won't be your 1st nor last" you speak to him like a man and tell him what HE did wrong....if you can't deal with it QUIT!

Again I like Mike because he was probably one of the greatest linebackers to ever play the game... But coaching is different than playing the game, and I"m not sure he's gonna get it done as a coach if he doesn't learn to chill out and coach the X's and 0's and discipline without attacking his players....

Getting in players faces like that all the time just ticks them off... It's human nature and your dealing with BIG TIME ego's with NFL players.... You need to discipline them in different ways and not with so much intensity like Mike was trying to do... He was coaching like he was on the field playing... remember that game when he got in his qb's face and the two looked like they were gonna fight on the sideline ? Also the Mike show where he got into it with the host...

I think he was fairly composed this man was never trained in public speaking and speech so I think he did pretty well. As a coach you have to be intense. What do you think would make him a better coach?
