I have the same 02 z28 blk and it is a V8 LS1 6sp.
I want to upgrade the exhaust system in it. I hear Flowmaster, magnaflow and loudmouth etc. I don't want it to sound like a harley or tinny. Just deep and throaty. Any suggestions?

no one swapped any engines...it IS a v8...i talked to a few people and they said tis an LS1 but i jsut wasnt sure because it didnt have the corvrette covers on it

it does not have too have a corvette face plate or covers. if it is all factory and its a true z28. it has an ls1 v8. look on your emissions data sticker inside the engine bay. should be on your right side or the driver side. if it says 5.7L than its an ls1.

it talked to a guy at a char show and he said it was an LS1 i just wasnt sur ecus i didnt hav the corvette face plates on the engine but it never had an engine swap and its daf not a V6 i would know haha

Well someone must have put z28 decales on it. B/c all z28 are ls1 form 1998-2002. Unless someone swaped engine's.
