Thats like what I do. I put up videos of me playing guitar, but I don't do it to see how many views I can get I just put them up so my friends can see and they can have there opinions on them. Really to mee the views are just a bonus to see that some people you don't know are out there and their watching what I do. Now I've been on You Tube for two years and I was making videos from day one (not everyday just when I'm feelin it) and I can tell you I haven't gotten jack, but it's no big deal cuz

Great response. I joined Youtube in September 2006 just to post up a video of me reaching 3rd job in an MMORPG I played to show some of my friends in the game. Most of my videos don't have many views. My best video has over 20k views.

You are correct though that Youtube was initially meant to just post up videos and not corporate BS.

I know that there are some people out there enjoying what I do. Now this was just a text response to you telling you that I respect that you and all the other people who made video responses to You Tube exposed did what you did, it really shows that Youtubers aren't just simple minded people just lookin for a quick laugh.
