Impressions of CEO "Ike" of Northern Energy Holding, crucially inspecting crew members in charge and the assembly of Germany's possibly first privately funded and standalone, 1.5 Billion € expensive offshore wind farm called "Global Tech 1" - shot in the summer of 2008. The CEO contemplated tripods as technical alternative of foundation. Such tripods have a rated altitude of 30 metres and representing just the BASE of once being installed wind power plants altitude above sea level of about 120 metres. Means: The tripod bases you can see in the vid are supposed to be assembled underwater at a depth of about 50 metres in the German Sea, 90 km wide of the coast, and still won't even stand proud of the sea level at all. Njoy the pictures. Leave comments. Thx.
