Hey. Look at his foot before you say stuff like that. Number one rule about head first hooking: Put ur foot on the bag after.

@dave0mary The 3rd baseman had the ball, so he is allowed to be there. As long as you have the ball, you are allowed to obstruct the runner. Just check 0:06. However, the runner is allowed to slide into the baseman (especially wearing spikes and going foot first; I would not like it as a third baseman), just as you are allowed to run into a baseman holding the ball... Just check how often runners run into the catcher! Very good call by the ref!

some people say the third baseman obstructed the runner with his right foot but being that i am a third baseman that is what i was tought to do. the kid made a good slide to avoid the 3rd basemans foot, it's his fault that he overslid the bag

As a fellow umpire i agree that that runner was out. His hand came off the bag and the umpire was right where he was supposed to be and right on top of the play...he did what he was taught which is to pause, read and react. Good call.

Hey all you fags that think this fella is safe...of course he is UNTIL his hand comes off the bag. Why do you think the umpire waited on his call? Number one rule of umpiring...wait until the play is over to get the call right. This is a good ump.

I think it's amazing how people can watch a video like this, where the umpire calls the person out, 10 umps who watch the video explain why he's out, and one guy says, "I'm the ONLY one who's right, and all of you are wrong!"
