I made a better video since Spiketv said they will allow fans to question the "experts" and bring up disputes. Please email this video to the people at SpikeTV spike-feedback@spike.com and tell them you want someone who actually knows ninjutsu to talk about ninjutsu. I have studied martial arts for 22 years, Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu since 2001, I have one of the largest collection of ninjutsu books in America, the largest collection of ninjutsu tools in America , and I operate the ninjutsu store http://www.korisuya.com

  • the shinobi or ninja used armor they used small steel plates and chainmail read history and the real weapon used by ninja to throw and kill someone was the kunai or the sai ,but the sai was mainly used to disarm and to stab a similar weapon was the jitte but it rarely had a sharp point at the end (saki) it was used by police and people who wanted to defend themselves because only samurai and a few nobles could carry a sword and so the ninja used this weapon because it was accessible

  • @crintraian ninja didn't use sai, sai are from okinawa. everyone was allowed to carry swords, don't post bullshit here.

  • Did anyone notice that the ninja yelled before the killing blow, and am I the only one who finds that bogus?

  • let me ask this. Even if they DID get real ninja historians and what not, it wouldn't have mattered. The show isn't based on the skill it's the weapons that the computers determine. So really whoever has the better weapon wins according to the computer

  • I new Dw was shit but this takes the cake Ty good sir

  • There seems to be a TON of misinformation on the true historical ninja. What texts do you recommend that seem to show actual scholarly research on the subject??

  • @scottbaioisdead Sir

It is my limited understand that Satsuma outlawed new exports of weapons to the Ryukyu Okuni in 1639 CE. And by the time of king Sho Tei reign (1669CE-1709CE) the Satsuma issued a regulation that prohibited those who traved to the Ryukyu Okuni from carrying arms. And as for Satsuma fighting the Ryukyuans it worked well for the Tokugawa shogunate because they did not have to worrie about fighting them (Satsuma). Thank you for your time.

  • I'm not going to argue about the weapons or the fact that Ninjas did wear armor, albeit "light," but I'm going to argue the mindset; ninjas aren't warriors, they're survivors and assassins. First rulse about ninjas is "survive no matter what," and "kill with stealth." They don't like drawing attention to themselves unless absolutely necessary. They would have waited until the Spartan was taking a bath or something and then cut his throat from behind. That's how assassins work, sorry.

  • that episode of DW was stupid beyond belief. Their so-called "ninjitsu experts" were not legitimate practitioners. That is why the ninja in the episode looked and fought just like a stereotypical hollywood ninja...even so, these fake ninjas showed how easy it would be to throw powdered glass in the eyes of the enemy. I would like to see ANYONE continue fighting with two eyes full of glass!

  • Man this guy is obviously butt hurt that all his training wouldn't do shit against a spartan what a fag
