No one wants to feel the heat of summer, but we also do not want to feel the heat of the gas prices bearing down on us. If you can find ways to avoid using your vehicles air conditioner, you will probably be quite pleased with your cars increased fuel efficiency. After all, none of us wants to make more trips to the gas station than we already are, so make sure to only use the air conditioner when it is absolutely necessary!

  • well you gotta put it this way look at the cost to run a window air conditioner on fan about 100 watts at max speed and with compressor bout 600watts(5,000BTU)

    now think of a car the air conditioner runs on the pulley and when it engages it makes the belt pull so much more cause its making a component compress liquid which is not easy, it's really hard for me to explain anyways but people say air conditioners dont cost alot of gas well i say diffrent look at the fan-compressor compare and ullsee
