Awake Youth Glasgow

April 2009 Awake Youth did a project with young people from the Easterhouse area just outside of Glasgow. The theme was Peer Gynt and his search for identity and belonging. A promenade peace that took the audience from the pool itself through the Bridge Café and dance studio through the library (on fire) and finally into the hall of the mountain King for the Finale. The youngsters came from youth clubs and initiatives for youth in the area and the Awake Youth team consisted of Hanna Björck, Sophie Bortolussi, Pelle Holst, Anna Krotoska, Anna-Helena McLean, Maria Sendow, SPASO (music) and Arek Crusciel (film and editing) with help from Emma Hagen, Natasha Gilmore and Maryam Hamidi. Directed by Christopher Sivertsen.
