A Long Time Ago
In a Galxay Far Far Away...
Norway, March 1979. Although the production of the new Star Wars sequel had many challenges, few compared to the experience of shooting the famous Hoth Scenes in the coldest winter in 50 years.
Empire is considered by many to be a rich film, it was so rich that entire subplots had to be excised from the script during the shoot. One such subplot involved the Wampas of the frozen Planet Hoth. Up until the final draft of the script, several scenes hinting at the Wampa's role in The Rebellion's struggle were story-boarded. Included in these alternates was a famous scene that starts as the Imperials were about to break through the Rebel's defenses and enter their base.
The Rebels managed to escape Hoth, and one could argue that this scene and a fast thinking droid were what made the difference.

This is a real deleted scene. Not the video itself but the part where 3PO rips off the warning sticker
