I'm shocked that wasn't called a foul. Right, there was no contact, but it IS JJ. In college he got ridiculous calls al the time - which is what much of Duke's "success" is based on. What a gimp.

hey trelach do u remember the unc game at unc when duke was down 5 and redick hit 4 3s in a row and ran the game out, or when duke was down 2 in last years acc championship game and redick hit 2 big ones in a rown that put duke up.(they won both if u needed to know)

So the guy has an airball on a layup (when was the last time you saw that?) and gets made fun of for it. So what?! Even the announcer laughs at him. If folks who don't care for Duke basketball, Coach K's foul mother-effing mouth, or JJ Redick, you aren't going to change any of their minds by calling them idiotic and implying that they're victims of some sort of reverse sexual insecurity mumbo jumbo. Just because Dick Vitale wants to blow JJ doesn't mean we all want to do the same.

No matter how much anybody might respect his accomplishments in college or his potential in the NBA, pretty much anybody that isn't a Dukie is going to make fun of the guy. It's not a serious barb to call the guy "Gay Gay" because everybody who has watched NCAA hoops for the last 20+ years will tell you that there is almost always one person on the Duke team (Ferry, Laettner, Wojo, Collins, Dunleavy, JJ...) who gets stuck with the label. Get over it--the jabs are a part of being successful.
