God of War: Ghost of Sparta - Walkthrough Part 02 - Boss: Scylla (Spartan)

Difficulty: Spartan (Hard).

This is part 2 of my God of War: Ghost of Sparta playthrough/guide series. This video shows me fighting the game's first boss: Scylla.

Here's a short guide:

Even though this is the first boss, don't underestimate its difficulty. Remember that all of Scylla's attacks are blockable and get used to the order they are used in.

For the first part, just stand within attack range of the boss and block every time you see Scylla's tentacles or hand start to move. You CAN block the hand attack, you just need to time it right. Between attacks, chip away at the boss's health.

After a while, Scylla will move to the left side of the screen and spawn enemies. Carefully kill this while blocking the boss's bite attack. Make sure you don't get hit or it can turn out very badly. Just remember to kill the enemies first, or your life will be a lot harder.

After Scylla does the side attack once, it will go back to its original position where you can finish it off. When the boss is stunned, jump up to the wheel in the upper right corner of the screen and press (mash) circle to start the finishing action sequence.
