Born from collaboration between the Théâtre de Verdure of Montreal and the choreographer Marie Béland, this architectural and choreographic project Les Précédents was at first created for the Parc La Fontaine. The performance integrates dancers into the landscape of the public area and into the actions of the pedestrians. Inspired by the mobile and immobile, in permanence and the ephemeral, the interpreters help us to see the space of this bustling public park with new perspective. The performance can be accompanied by open workshops during which the public could share in the experience of Les Précédents in interpreting the piece alongside the dancers.

Né d'une collaboration entre le Théâtre de Verdure et la chorégraphe Marie Béland, le projet d'architecture chorégraphique Les Précédents a d'abord été créé pour l'espace du Parc Lafontaine. La pièce met en lumière l'architecture d'un site en intégrant les danseurs autant aux lignes de force du paysage qu'au mouvement des promeneurs. Puisant dans le mobile et l'immobile, dans le permanent et l'éphémère, les interprètes nous font voir autrement ce lieu sans cesse grouillant qu'est celui d'un espace public. L'expérience peut se poursuivre par des ateliers ouverts au public où tous peuvent à leur tour vivre Les Précédents en interprétant la pièce en compagnie des danseurs.
