The point of America is to try to change things one doesn't like, not to simply up and leave. By your logic, the Colonists who objected to the British's taxes should've left the colonies, the Germans who disagreed with Hitler should've left Nazi Germany, and the Czech students who overthrew the government in the Velvet Revolution should've left communist Czechoslovakia.
