In his black comedy "Luo Ye Gui Gen" ("Getting Home") Zhang Yang tells the story of Zhao, an ageing worker who has to transport the dead body of his friend and colleague Wang from Shenzen to his native town in the Three Gorges area... After the screening at the Berlin Film Festival Zhang Yang spoke to the audience. In English and Chinese (Mandarin).

  • I also was there in that place when this interview here was filmed. I think this film was the best film that I see at the festival in Berlin in 2007. I never see before visitors of a film giving spontaneously applause while a film was still running. And this happen a few times! If you see the film you will understand why. I even order the film in US because they not sell it in Germany.
