This is the first song that I ever heard from Chely Wright. I was a DJ in a lesbian bar in Wichita, "Dreamers" and I played this song for a particular girl...she became my girlfriend after that. I love this song, I always perceived this as a lesbian song, it is being sung by a woman and nowhere in the song does she mention that she is singing this to a man. LOVE ALL HER SONGS, ALWAYS HAVE AND FOREVER WILL.

Love the hair and love Chely!! so hot and such a great voice! Too bad she never hit it big!!! I think her best hit was Shut up and Drive from 1997, which I believe cracked the top 20 on the country charts.....One of MCA's most underrated artists! But someone signed her so good for them! :)

@amy24sm I find the term Dyke very insulting. Yes, I did hear that she came out as a lesbian if thats what you mean. Her sexual preference does NOT have anything to do with her singing voice. Which by the way is ahhhhhh-mazing. I have an idea go read her book Like Me. Maybe then you will understand a little more about homosexuality and the burden it carries.
