...so I was at the Guilford, CT Fair with my 3-year old daughter on a Friday night in September of 2003, and we stopped by the band tent because the music was sounding pretty good. At first glance, I thought it was a local CT band of some sort, but during one of the breaks the lead singer introduced them as "The Box Tops" and it suddenly dawned on me that the reason the lead singer looked (and sounded) so familiar was because he was ALEX CHILTON! I wish I had taped the whole set, but I had more pressing responsibilities...it was still one of the more surreal moments of my life. Check out the way Alex handled the Big Star request at the 5:25 timepoint.
Rest in Peace Alex...........I was Always in Love with You.

Lucky you (and daughter). Thanks for posting this. I love this song and play it when I'm out at an open mic night or whatever.
Love and miss you Alex.

Despite its limitations, amazing video. Nice contextualization.
