I went to the Stuijvenberg brothers to testdrive the all new SUBARU DIESEL. Made a clip of it to send to my good friend Subeman in Penn-state USA - because they didn't get the diesel yet! The car drives like heaven. Silent, quick and lots of torque. For more info contact my dealer at stuijvenberg.com

  • VW can sell a diesel jetta in the states. Why cant subaru?? Ford sella a fiesta diesel in Europe, but wont sell it here. What the hell!!! If VW can get past our restrictions, why cant everyone else??? Love our subaru.... :)

  • @chilichad The Subaru diesel meets/exeeds the highest european exhaust rules. So I guess it will be according US rules too. I think Subaru made a commercial decision... maybe they think the US diesel market for cars is too small, maybe they cannot produce high numers of diesel engines... they cannot offer a diesel with an automatic gearbox (and that might be essential for the US market.) But I guess you are right! They sould be sold in the US because compaired to the VW dieselt they are better

  • Are you in Sweden? It looks very beautiful there. I like diesel engines, but unfortunatly we don't have a lot of diesels here in the USA except for trucks. Have a great day, God bless you!

  • No, I'm in Holland, Europe, somewhat more to the south. I Like Sweden, it is far less crowded.

I visited the USA several times. Where do you live if I might ask?

The Subaru diesel runs fine. Because of it's diesel it has LOTS of torque.

    greetings geert

  • i know my thoughts exactly. why is it that diesel seems strictly for european markets? my mom has a subaru and it gets 23 mpg i bet this gets 35mpg or better. someone from ford said that they dont sell diesels because amercians kind of blackball diesel for being dirty smokey and ineffecient. when in reality they can be as clean if not cleaner than regular gasoline petrol engines. we need to wake up in the US

  • I'll take one. Get it to the USA please!

  • techluvr1234,

    '

    okay thank explain

  • @bestamerica Normal gasoline doesn't burn cleaner than diesel. Diesel is a much better way of powering cars, IMO, Cleaner burning, better mileage, more power, etc.

  • Subaru will have to bring this to the USA.. they are way off the fuel economy standards that they will be forced to meet. 35+ MPG HWY. Subaru's are great I have a 96 Impreza with 202K miles still runs great. And tomorrow my wife and I are buying an 06 Legacy 2.5i Wagon Special Edition. (looks like the GT but no turbo)

  • i miss those doors

  • It doesn't help that diesel in the US is more than premium/high octane gasoline. I love diesels and the torque they produce.
