@OlivierV9000 Alright.. Maybe you can drive that car.. Lets see who's the fastest. Not everyone is a good racingdriver compared to the top driver. Have some respect. These guys race for fun! Not for the money, ...

Learn to heel and toe!!!! shifts are terribe!!!!
-
boy would I like to see some of you driving this car.....;))

I think this is a terrible drive(r)...! 1st of all his positioning in the car is simply toooo bad! The guy is set to far from his stwheel (elbows at a 90° bent when hands on the stwheel should be the way to go) At 2:11 & 4:30 you see what happens... he has to strech his left arm in order to turn the wheel! The gearing... At 5:54 he does smthin strange, he downshifts from 5th to 4th to 3rd to 2nd without releasing the clutch 1 time?! Wtf? Keep that engine revin', hold that traction...
-
@phantomloita Not, he has no room on that track to late brake and pass. he has to wait for a mistake by drivers ahead of him.
-
transmission will be damaged !!
-
wtf? look at the shift
-
looks like a sunday drive....not at all aggressive with braking or shifting. at many times he could of slipstream then late braking to pass cars...but I guess if it's a 24hr you should go easy on the car?

Looks and sounds on a Sunday afternoon drive......
wooberry, it's the other way around, brake pads are cheaper than gearboxes and clutches, brakes slow the car down not the transmission unless you are driving an 18 wheeler, the downshift is simply to maintain the proper revs to keep the engine within it's power band through a braking zone and turn

porsche69911T is correct, downshifting has a negligible effect if any in slowing the car compared to the brakes.
